Join the Sierra Striders as we backpack in Yosemite National Park from Toulumne Meadows to Yosemite Valley. On the morning of the first day we will take a bus from Yosemite Valley to Toulumne Meadows, where we will enjoy a day hike in the afternoon. We will stay at Toulumne Meadows for the night. The next day we backpack on the John Muir trail to one of the Cathedral Lakes. We then hike over Cathedral Pass and join the Merced River at Echo Valley. Take heart after the second day backpacking, this trip is downhill. There will be a layover day at Echo Valley, with an optional day hike to explore Merced Lake. A layover day at Little Yosemite Valley will provide an opportunity to climb Half Dome or enjoy the views at the top of Nevada Falls. The bus ride will cost approximately $15. This extra expense will be paid to the bus company not to Second Winders.
