For Adults – Beginners and Experienced
Second Winders is a backpacking organization sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of El Camino Real. We are celebrating our 29th year and invite you to explore with us the magnificent wilderness of California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains. Three trips take to the mountains early or mid August for a week of hiking, camping, and exploration. We carry everything, so some days can be challenging as we go about our explorations with extra weight on our backs.

ORANGE TRIP

Silver Divide in the John Muir Wilderness, north of Kings Canyon National Park, Trailhead at Lake Edison
SIERRA STRIDERS TRIP 1
AUGUST 1 – AUGUST 8 (8 days)
Granite Creek area below Isberg Pass, Ansel Adams Wilderness, south of Yosemite National Park.
SIERRA STRIDERS TRIP 2
AUGUST 15 - AUGUST 22 (8 days)
Yosemite National Park: Toulumne Meadows to Yosemite Valley.

Cost for all food, group supplies
and leadership is $140.00 per person.
Note: No charge for the first clergy on each trip.
